Designing, Planning & Delivering Large Scale Construction Projects Throughout
Western New York On-Time and Under Budget for Over 30 Years

Advanced Architecture and Planning, P.C. is a full service Design, Bid, and Build firm founded in 2007 by Frank J. Burkhart Jr., RA, AIA after twenty years of service in the Architectural and Construction fields.

Mr. Burkhart began work in the Architectural profession in 1987, and has been involved in the design and construction of dozens of projects throughout Western New York.

As the Principal of Advanced Architecture and Planning, this experience provides the firm with the qualifications to serve on most any project.

Mr. Burkhart's experience with the design and management of large scale construction projects began in 1990 with the firm of Gordon W. Jones Associates where he gained experience as a Draftsman and then as Project Manager on numerous multi-million dollar educational facility construction projects including the projects to modernize the Pembroke, Orchard Park, Sweet Home, Iroquois, Greece, Clarence, and Cheektowaga School Districts.

After obtaining his Architectural license in 1995, Mr. Burkhart served as the Project Architect in charge of overseeing the design and/or construction of the projects to modernize and expand the Holland, Royalton Hartland, and Clarence High School projects. He also served in this capacity for the new Greenfields Health and Rehabilitation Center. Profiles of these projects are included on our web site.

In 1998, he joined DiDonato Associates, P.E., P.C. as a Project Architect, and was named Vice President in 2005. During that tenure, Mr. Burkhart was in charge of overseeing the design and construction of many high profile public works projects, and educational facility projects which are profiled on our web site.

These projects include a new Town Hall for Elma, New York, Additions and Renovations to East Amherst Fire Hall, the Renovations to the 14th floor of the Erie County Rath Building, and the Buffalo City Hall Masonry Restoration. His expertise in the design of educational facilities led the firm in a number of projects in this field including renovations to Buffalo Schools 17, 27, 31, and 67, the Addition and Renovations to Buffalo School #66, and the Additions and Renovations to the Maryvale School District.

This experience led him to found Advanced Architecture and Planning in 2007 with the intent of specializing in the design and planning of large scale construction projects focusing on educational facilities, and based on the primary objective of providing the highest quality architectural service possible while focusing on client satisfaction.
